Privacy Policy

Effective date: [DATE]

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the LFO Rack application (the "Software") and the website at lforack.com (the "Site"), and how it is used. LFO Rack is operated by Joel Abbott ("we," "us").

This is a template; have it reviewed against the privacy laws that apply to you and your customers, including GDPR and CCPA.

The short version

LFO Rack is built to stay out of your business. The Software runs entirely on your own machine, requires no internet connection to function, does not "phone home," and collects no usage data or telemetry. We only handle the small amount of information needed to sell you a license and support you.

Information we collect

To issue a license. When you buy a license or request activation, we process the hardware identifier your computer displays and your email address. The hardware identifier is used solely to bind your license to your machine; your email is used to deliver your license and provide support.

When you contact us or sign up. If you email us or join our mailing list, we keep the information you provide to respond and, if you opted in, to send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

On the website. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures aggregate site traffic without using cookies and without collecting personal data or building visitor profiles.

The Software collects nothing. LFO Rack does not transmit usage data, analytics, or telemetry. License verification happens locally on your computer. Trial state may be stored locally on your machine (including in the macOS Keychain) and is never transmitted to us.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and seller for your transaction. Paddle collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; we do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Please review Paddle's privacy policy for how it handles that information.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to operate the business — for example, Cloudflare (hosting and download delivery), a transactional email provider (to deliver licenses), and Paddle (payments). These providers process information only as needed to perform their service.

How we use information

We use the information above only to deliver and support your license, respond to your messages, send updates you opted into, and operate and protect the Site and Software. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep license and purchase records as long as needed to support your license and meet legal and accounting obligations. Mailing-list data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at privacy@lforack.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Children

LFO Rack is a professional tool, is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
